Bilingual Well-Being Inquiry
A bilingual, curriculum-connected inquiry where Grades 4–8 French Immersion and Grade 9 Core French students apply the Real-World Problem Solving (RWPS) process in French and English to explore what supports well-being in their school. Teachers participate in bilingual professional learning, then guide students through a hands-on investigation of well-being that builds collaboration and critical thinking across programs.
Through the use of the Challenge Kits, I was able to foster a more hands-on, inquiry-based learning environment in my classroom. Students became more engaged as they worked through real-world problems that required collaboration, creativity, and critical thinking. The open-ended nature of the kits encouraged them to take risks, test ideas, and iterate on their solutions.
